Man grabs mic from reporter, shouts N-word on live TV, Man grabs TV mic, shouts slur, South Carolina TV reporter Ashley Taylor said she noticed a few men lingering nearby while preparing to report live for the 11 o'clock news on a Myrtle Beach street Wednesday, but she clearly didn't expect what happened next. Mere seconds into her report, a sunglasses-sporting guy grabbed Taylor's mic, pushed her aside, and shouted, "I'm that n---er!" on live TV.

According to the New York Daily News, the man was arrested, charged with assault and battery, and released on $1,400 bond. Taylor later noted to her own station, WMBF, "the irony of this attack" was she was reporting on a crackdown on area crime. "Little did I know that I would become the victim."
